About Kubicom

Built together with the industry, from the start

Since 2015 we've developed Kubicom in close collaboration with companies and organisations across the industry. The result is a platform that works in practice, not just on paper.

Mission

What we believe in

We believe that the right information, at the right time, to the right recipient is key to making construction projects better. For the supplier, the delivery becomes easier to carry out and faster to get paid for. For the contractor and client, the documentation is accurate, complete and ready for both follow-up and climate reporting. Everything we build leads there.

Simplicity

Digitisation shouldn't add a step. It should remove one. That's why we make Kubicom simple enough that someone who has never worked with digital delivery notes can register their first delivery or complete their first goods receipt without an introduction.

Sustainability

Getting environmental data shouldn't be a separate effort. With Kubicom, climate data follows the delivery note — from transport fuel consumption to EPD data on materials. Traceability across the entire chain, and a solid foundation for CSRD without extra work.

Developed with our users

We are engaged in industry standards such as BEAst and Peppol. But above all, we develop together with those of you who use the system every day. Kubicom is not a desktop product — it's a tool from field to invoice.

Our story

How we started

Kubicom started in 2015 with a focus on helping haulage companies. The starting point was concrete: the paper slip needed to go digital. The problem was that there were no good solutions, and the systems that existed didn't talk to each other. A haulier working for five different clients needed five different systems or apps.

So we started building. First with digital delivery notes, then with more functionality as users were ready for it. Everything adapted to how people actually work in the field, not how someone at a desk imagines they do.

In 2020 we took the next step. We realised that custom solutions for individual clients weren't enough — what was needed was a shared foundation for everyone. We started building it, and got involved in developing the industry's standards so that information could flow regardless of who was sending or receiving.

Today Kubicom is the platform that connects suppliers, clients and municipalities in construction and civil engineering. We're still building together with those of you who use us every day. That's how we keep getting better.

Industry engagement

Built for and with the industry

Kubicom is built together with the industry's stakeholders, with a focus on simple and consistent digital communication between clients, contractors and suppliers. We've had the advantage of being relatively new — we've been able to build from the ground up without being tied to legacy solutions, and focus directly on what customers actually need.

Standardised digital communication that works in practice requires collaboration. That's why Kubicom is developed continuously together with our customers, and we are engaged in the industry's standardisation work, particularly around BEAst and Peppol. Our goal is for the standards to work not only in Sweden but internationally as well.

For you as a Kubicom user, it means one thing: you can count on it working today, and that it will keep working as the standards evolve.

We're part of CIMON

Kubicom's majority owner is CIMON, a Swedish innovation group with over 30 years of experience building successful technology companies. CIMON are long-term entrepreneurs and owners, and their vision is to create so-called "gamechangers" together with the companies they invest in. Among Kubicom's co-owners are several institutional investors, including Länsförsäkringsbolag and Ingvar Kamprad Foundation Entreprenörinvest. For Kubicom, this means two concrete things. We have stable, long-term owners who don't push us towards the next exit or quarterly report — we can build to become the best over time. And we can draw on development capacity from our sister company Avalon Innovation when we need to scale up the pace, which means we can deliver at the right speed without growing the organisation too fast.

Strong development capacity

Kubicom is a focused team, but when needed we bring in developers from our sister company Avalon Innovation. That means we can always deliver with top expertise without growing too fast.

Long-term owners

CIMON are entrepreneurs with co-owners who invest for the long term. No exit plans driving the wrong decisions. Kubicom is built with the ambition of becoming the industry leader in Europe.

Solid foundation

With 30 years of experience building Swedish technology companies, CIMON and their long-term co-investors form a solid foundation. For you as a customer, it means you're building your processes on a platform that will be here next year, and the years after that.

Timeline

Our journey so far

2015

The beginning.Kubicom starts with a focus on efficiency for haulage companies. The first idea: digitising the paper slip.

2020

From custom to standard. We take the next step and shift focus to building Kubicom around industry standards. The goal: information should flow regardless of who is sending or receiving.

2022

Major steps in the public sector.Sweden's largest municipality, the City of Stockholm, chooses Kubicom. The same year we participate in Trafikverket's ELSA pilot project for digital environmental reporting.

2024

New requirements, same platform.Trafikverket starts setting firm requirements for digital environmental reporting in contracts. Because Kubicom was there from the start, our customers are ready before the requirements even take effect.

2025

Broader environmental data requirements. We introduce support for EPD data on materials, fuel data from telematics and more integrations that make building CSRD documentation easier. We also launch additional features for efficiency gains.

2026 →

Forward.Kubicom DUO launches, where you can be both supplier and contractor in the same environment. We continue building together with those of you who use the system every day.

The team

The people building Kubicom

We're a team of about fifteen people plus consultants from our sister company Avalon Innovation, building Kubicom together. Developers, designers, product leads, business and customer success. Everyone here for the same reason: to make your workday easier.

Why Kubicom

Three things that set us apart

1

We don't work in silos

Most digitalisation solutions in the industry handle one stakeholder at a time. Kubicom is built to connect supplier, contractor and client in the same flow.

2

We choose standards over lock-in

We build on, and help develop, the industry's shared standards. That means you're future-proof and not locked into a single system, and data can flow efficiently between systems.

3

We build with the industry, not just for it

Several of the largest companies in the industry are our customers. Both their needs and those of smaller players have driven the development of Kubicom's features. We test in a project or pilot before a broader rollout.
